Daughter of Iranian Official Who Threatened Americans Now Practices Medicine in the U.S.
The daughter of a high-ranking Iranian official has established a medical career in the United States. Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani, the daughter of Ali Larijani, who serves as Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary, has been residing in the U.S. for several years. This information was revealed through a listing on Mesothelioma.net, a platform that highlights medical professionals.
Larijani, who previously held the position of speaker of the Iranian parliament and was involved in nuclear negotiations, has publicly criticized the United States, calling it a “threat to the entire world.” Despite this, his daughter is currently working in America, raising questions about the relationship between the two nations.

Key Information
Ardeshir-Larijani completed her residency in internal medicine and studied at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, according to an earlier report from The Washington Times. She also earned her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences before completing her residency in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Additionally, she pursued a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Indiana University, where she obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Research.
Currently, Ardeshir-Larijani works as an assistant professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. On Mesothelioma.net, she is described as a hematologist and medical oncologist at Emory University Hospital’s Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta. Her clinical focus includes thoracic oncology, treating patients with lung cancer, malignant pleural mesothelioma, and thymic tumors. She uses a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating state-of-the-art treatment protocols to achieve optimal outcomes for her patients.
As a hematologist, Ardeshir-Larijani analyzes the molecular makeup of malignant tumors to develop targeted treatment plans. She utilizes innovative combinations of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy to address complex cases.
Several children of top Iranian officials have also studied in the U.S. For instance, former Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at San Francisco State University and the University of Denver. His son, Mahdi, attended the City University of New York before returning to Iran in 2013.
Public Reaction
Sana Ebrahimi, a self-described PhD candidate passionate about politics and fighting Islamists and terrorists, expressed concerns on X: “Ali Ardeshir Larijani is a top-tier operative of the Islamic Republic’s power structure. He openly threatens the United States, your military, and your service members. At the same time, his daughter, Fateme Ardeshir Larijani, lives and works in the U.S. as a healthcare worker, entrusted with American lives, while her father serves a hostile regime.”
Bijan Rezai Jahromi, a Middle East and Iran expert, wrote on X: “Larijani, the daughter of the Islamic Republic’s terrorist regime, has been in the United States for years, and her father threatens Americans. This pattern repeats in Europe as well, since the West’s spineless leaders enable asylum for terrorists here.”
Ongoing Concerns
The revelation that Ardeshir-Larijani resides and works in the U.S. has sparked discussions about potential national security risks. Ebrahimi stated on X: “This is not acceptable. A senior figure of a hostile state making threats against America while their immediate family benefits from life and employment inside the U.S. is a clear national security red flag.”
