MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile brewing company is holding its annual Mardi Gras kick-off party on Jan. 5.

Braided River Brewing Company is hosting the 12th Night Mardi Gras Kickoff Party and RSA Tower Lighting starting at 4 p.m.
A countdown to sunset will take place with Mobile officials and Chief Slac to officially start the Mardi Gras season.
The event is free and will feature award-winning king cakes, new Mardi Gras beers, and a show from the Blow House Brass Band.

The RSA tower will be lit up in purple and gold to ring in the carnival season.
