Man Killed in North Phoenix Shooting; Police Hunt for Suspect

PHOENIX — A man has died following a shooting that occurred in north Phoenix on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place around 1 p.m., when a woman approached a police officer near 13th Avenue and Sequoia Drive, just south of Loop 101. She reported that someone had been shot at a nearby residence, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers entered the home and discovered a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the location. Authorities have stated that the suspect fled the area before law enforcement arrived.
